Adolf AF Jochnick is a dual United States and Swedish citizen who served in the Swedish Army after graduating from high school in 1948, obtained a college degree from the University of Stockholm, graduated from Harvard Law School with a Juris Doctor degree in 1958. He concentrated primarily on corporate and international law throughout his career, and lives with his wife, Elizabeth in Cambridge, Massachusetts. This book relates Hannibal’s campaign against the Roman Republic beginning in 218 BC in which he crossed the Alps with a big force including elephants. There are also descriptions of the history and characteristics of Carthage and Rome and the reasons that Rome emerged as the dominant power in the Mediterranean.
