God has a plan for each and every person, but it’s up to us to unlock our own potential and discover what that is.

A wonderful life exists – this is the core of author and pastor Drake Hunter’s new Christian guidebook, “Wonderfully Weird: Seven Strange Ways to Define a Life of Wonder.” Broken into seven parts, the book helps readers to identify their unique strengths and desires so that they may recognize their purpose and design a coinciding life plan.

Drawing from the principles of research of psychologist David Keirsey, forensic psychiatrist Stephen Montgomery and others, Hunter developed the “Wonderfully Weird Assessment” with four archetypes: Lion, Man, Ox and Eagle. The assessment facilitates the process of deep introspection so that readers can better understand themselves and the divine image they were created in.

Throughout the book, Hunter dives deeper into the archetypes, dissecting their nuances and the varying identities and purposes within each one. From there, readers can determine how their core passions and needs align with a deeper calling. Hunter also provides tools and techniques so that readers can learn how to make decisions, build relationships, handle pressure and actively participate in making their goals a reality.

“God has a plan for each and every person, but it’s up to us to unlock our own potential and discover what that is,” said Hunter. “I began writing this book when my own life was out of sorts, and I needed to get things in God’s order rather than my own. I had to do some introspection so that I could open myself up to receive His power and live the life He designed for me to live out in the first place.”

While true fulfillment and happiness may seem especially out of reach in times of crisis and uncertainty, Hunter demonstrates how Christians can utilize this moment to focus inward, determine what is no longer serving them and become more aligned with God’s plan for their lives.
