Marking her entry in the literary limelight, Shamsa Abbas announces the release of “All Around the Sun” (published by Partridge Singapore), a compilation of thoughts expressed in the form of poetry. Visit https://www.amazon.com/All-Around-Sun-Shamsa-Abbas/dp/1543747728 to purchase and know more about the book.

Divided into four parts, “All Around the Sun” transforms feelings and emotions into similes and metaphors. With it, Abbas offers a compendium of poems that ushers readers to love, to hurt, to feel and to hope. Each pieces expresses thoughts that people have felt at some point in their lives. It is for all those relentlessly digging deep into their minds and hearts, merely wanting to turn feelings into words, conveying a beautiful transformation — from loving and hurting to purely feeling and hoping.

A snippet from the book reads:
‘Beautiful,’
I heard you whisper.
‘Undeniably,’ I replied.
You were watching the sky;
I was watching you.

When asked what she wants readers to take away from her writing, the author and poet says, “I want them to know that they're never alone. I also want them to know that what they believe in can impact their entire lives. If they want something to happen, it'll happen when they start acting on it. Believe it'll happen even if it sounds impossible, just believe or imagine, and slowly you'll start working towards it until one day, you make it.”
