Author caught by surprise when 'The Small Scroll' suddenly becomes pertinent to the world today
Editor's Choice and Rising Star author Christopher Miller announces new marketing campaign for his Christian novel
BLOOMINGTON, Ind., April 21, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- What would it be like to be born the son of God? Set for a new marketing campaign, Christopher Miller's debut novel, "The Small Scroll: The Enlightenment of Jesus" (published by iUniverse in February 2019), takes readers on a journey as they follow Jesus through his life as a son and carpenter who realizes he must pursue his devotion to God. The book is available for purchase at: https://www.amazon.com/Small-Scroll-Enlightenment-Jesus/dp/1532061196.
When Jesus is born, there is a lot of attention paid to his birth. Still, life seems normal to him and he seems ordinary to those around him. Yet as the pure spirit of the boy begins to appear, it becomes clear he is destined for something more. Jesus eventually travels to Jerusalem with his parents for the Passover. It is there that he transforms into a man who finds himself attracted to a female friend, questions life and realizes he must pursue his devotion to God. But as he begins to fulfill his destiny, Jesus has no idea of the infinite impact he is about to have on the world.
In hoping to address just what Christianity is, Miller traces back to the actual moments that created it. Miller offers insights into the mind and heart of the man behind the savior figure, allowing readers to connect with Christ on a personal level.
"Our world is under siege, by polarization, by war, by disease, by poverty, by climate change, and by greed and complacency. We see it but are unable to act. It is like a thief in the night," says Miller. "'The Small Scroll' nourishes us by pointing to another way to view the events that are happening all around us."
