Kristin Copeland Westphal, who was born and raised on a small family farm in Northwest Tennessee, has completed her new book “Goat and POG”: a charming children’s story that explores the meaning of nicknames.

After earning her bachelor’s degree in education, Kristin pursued her post-bachelor’s and master’s degrees in speech-language pathology. With her passion for children, Kristin has worked as a speech-language pathologist for nearly a decade, primarily focusing on early intervention, pediatric development, and literacy. Kristin is at her happiest when sitting on the floor building children’s language and speech skills through play-based learning and books.

Kristin writes, “Nicknames are often created out of love and admiration. The perfect nickname is often unpredicted and comes unique to the person.”
