Author Kristin Downs releases ‘Sun Child’
SWARTHMORE, Pa. (PRWEB) September 26, 2015 -- Author Kristin Downs confesses that she loves animals. After watching several documentaries about meerkats on television, specifically Animal Planet's “Meerkat Manor,” which ran for four seasons, she was inspired to write “Sun Child: A Meerkat’s Tale ” (published by Trafford Publishing).
This book tells the story of a young meerkat named Masada, who got separated from his family, but was rescued and adopted by another family. Growing up, he realizes that both families- the one he was born into and the one that raised him- are at odds with each other and is caught in the middle of their rivalry.

She graduated from the Philadelphia High School of Performing Arts and the Art Institute of Philadelphia. She loves animals and loves to tell stories about them.
