MEADVILLE, Pa., Nov. 27, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- "Darkness Could Not Hide the Glow": the story of a mistreated little girl who discovered what God can do. "Darkness Could Not Hide the Glow" is the creation of published author, Mildred Wilson. Mildred was born in Louisiana in 1934. She was educated in several cities, including Baton Rouge, San Antonio, San Francisco, and Houston. She served in the Women's Army Corps during the Korean War. She spent most of her time at Brooke Army Medical Center before she transferred to Fort Mcullen, Alabama for training. From there, she moved to the Presido Army Base in San Francisco. Ten months later, after being discharged from the Army, she got married and lived in San Francisco for 14 years. Married for over twenty-five years to the late Cyrus Wilson, Mrs. Wilson has one son.
"Darkness Could Not Hide the Glow" is the true story of a girl's struggle to survive the evil and hatefulness of the people surrounding. She kept her fears and terror hidden from her father, because she did not want him to know how often and how bad she was mistreated when he was not around. "Darkness Could Not Hide the Glow" attempts to show what faith in God can do.
Mildred shares from her book, "All of the houses were built alike. The name of the settlement was Goodwood, and the man who owned it was named Robert Tibideaux. Slavery was supposed to be over, but it really wasn't. You see, everybody living in Goodwood was Mr. Tibideaux's. They all worked for his company. If anyone went to jail on Friday or Saturday, all Mr. Tibideaux would have to do is make a phone call to the jail on Monday morning and they were let out, no questions asked, even if they had killed someone."
"Surely I was sinful at birth, sinful from the time my mother conceived me. Yet you desired faithfulness even in the womb; you taught me wisdom in that secret place." Psalm 51:5–6 (NIV)
From the age of twenty-five, Mildred Wilson has had the courage to demonstrate her desire to live a God-fearing life. She wants to teach others, so that they can choose to follow the path of Christ and Godly fear. She believes that, in order to keep this kind of faith, hope, courage, and endurance, Christ must be the center of one's life.
