Gottfried Hutter’s sociopolitical and religious commentary, “100 Years of Middle East Conflict - Honorable Peace: How Can Lasting Peace be Secured between the Muslim World and Israel” (published by Archway Publishing), explores solutions to the conflict between the Muslim world and Israel grounded in the key principles of Islam and of Judaism.
The central topic of the book is the interreligious and intercultural aspects of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. By tracking and comparing previous attempts to solve the conflict, which without exception were unsuccessful, Hutter discusses the ideological error common to all of these attempts, and argues that a true and lasting solution can be found by including what the previous attempts had discarded: the reconciliatory potential of religions.
“I want readers to realize why the Israeli-Palestinian conflict seems so hopelessly insoluble and I want them to see that a solution is within reach with the potential to lead to true and lasting peace.”
