Robert G. Kingsley, an Air Force veteran, has completed his new book “The Connie File”: a gripping and potent depiction of a complicated love triangle between three friends in the 1950s and the drastic effects of guilt and rejection.

“Connie was a lovely young girl who had vigor and spirit, yet was careless with her feelings all wrapped in one package. She craved friendship and was never deprived. In high school, she found the affection of two young gentlemen by the names of Jamie and Stan,” begins Robert G. Kingsley’s sentimental tale.

Published by Page Publishing, Robert G. Kingsley’s amorous tale follows the lives of three young friends growing up in the heartland: Connie, Stan, and Jamie. Through high school, this trio remained best friends, and growing up were eager and ready to face whatever the future might hold. Little did they know, their future would be full of twists and turns that none of them could have anticipated.

Connie was always the object of affection for Jamie and Stan, as both loved her dearly. However, she was engaged to Jamie, leaving Stan to watch their love from the outside. When Jamie enlists in the United States Air Force and faces an assignment to the Philippines, Connie’s feelings for Jamie face a great hurdle. During his military service, Jamie loses most of his right leg, and he returns home after years of deployment to find Connie and Stan have married.

Following Jamie’s return from his military service, Connie is devastated with guilt and divorces Stan. Jamie further rejects her, adding to her already grief-ridden mind. After being emotionally and physically abandoned by the two most important men in her life, Connie faces a downhill slide into the sleazier side of juke joints, hustlers, and users. This work is ultimately a disturbing, but authentic, look into the mistakes and misadventures that could shape one’s life forever.

Readers who wish to experience this revelatory work can purchase“The Connie File” at bookstores everywhere, or online at the Apple iTunes Store, Amazon, Google Play, or Barnes and Noble.
