Autism Learning App Camp Discovery Expands Reach to Benefit More Children
Los Angeles (PRWEB) June 18, 2014 -- Camp Discovery, the evidence-based therapeutic learning app for children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), has increased accessibility and is now available for iPhone and Android phones. The app, initially designed for tablets by the Center for Autism and Related Disorders (CARD), has been optimized for smaller screens and is now available to the 1.6 billion global smartphone users. The app offers a variety of learning games and utilizes evidence-based teaching principles. Camp Discovery is free to download at the App Store and Google Play.
Camp Discovery’s mission is to maximize learning opportunities for children with ASD and increase access to treatment resources through technology. While the tablet has become an increasingly useful tool for children with ASD, not all families own a tablet.

Camp Discovery’s learning games currently include Objects, Colors, Community Helpers, Body Parts, Shapes, and more. New content is released each week, and more than 50 learning games are in development. As new learning games are released, they are easily incorporated into the expanding world of Camp Discovery on its redesigned map.
