Autosoft President & CEO Presents Scholarship at Strimbu Memorial Barbeque
West Middlesex, PA (PRWEB) May 12, 2014 -- National automotive software company Autosoft, Inc. (http://www.autosoftyoudrive.com), with headquarters in West Middlesex, Pennsylvania, presented a $2,500 college scholarship to Aerial M. Pratt, a West Middlesex High School senior, at the 25th Annual Strimbu Memorial Barbeque at Yankee Lake Ballroom in Brookfield, Ohio, May 7.
Autosoft President and CEO Bryce Veon presented the scholarship to Pratt. “Autosoft is committed to the community we call home. It’s an honor to be able to help Aerial realize her dreams for the future,” Veon said of the scholarship. “Through participation in events like the Strimbu Memorial Barbeque, Autosoft is proud to be able to support a promising member of the community, and ultimately the region’s development and growth through education.”
Pratt plans to pursue a degree in chemistry at Gannon University (Erie, Pennsylvania). The National Honor Society and Student Council president is ranked first in her class. She is also an officer of Future Business Leaders of America and Students Against Destructive Decisions and serves as co-editor of West Middlesex High School yearbook and newspaper staff. She has also served as track and field team captain and volleyball and dance line co-captain. Her achievements have also been recognized with a Gannon University Presidential Scholarship.
She was one of 13 outstanding students recognized by the Strimbu Memorial Fund for their leadership and self-reliance throughout high school. Held each May as the major fundraising effort for the Memorial Fund, the barbeque celebrates the memory of Nick Strimbu, Jr., who developed a legacy of leadership, self-reliance and service to the community. In addition to the 13 $2,500 scholarships, one overall winner received a $25,000 scholarship.
