AV Homes Celebrates Awards Sweep At MAME Awards
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (PRWEB) May 12, 2015 -- Each spring, homebuilders gather to compete and celebrate industry excellence, through the Major Achievements in Merchandising Excellence (MAME) awards. The ceremony on Saturday, May 2, at the Westin Kierland Resort & Spa in Scottsdale, showcased excellence from the Home Builders Association of Central Arizona (HBACA). This year, AV Homes, Inc. was the most recognized home builder by winning five trophies and the Grand Award presented to the builder with the highest point totals in the designated categories.
According to the MAME Awards, the competition honors “the exemplary efforts of builders and land developers; interior designers and architects; and sales managers and sales associates who make the home building industry in the Valley one of the nation’s leaders.” The Grand Award is an especially difficult accolade, requiring a builder to have entries in advertising, merchandising, design and individual award categories.

While winning multiple categories, AV Homes also secured recognition and finalist placement in 12 out of its 20 entries. Their awards were received in the following categories:

• “Best Sales Office Under 500 Square Feet,” for its Cortessa community sales office
• “Best Detached Active Adult Product Design,” for its CantaMia community Madrigal plan’s entertainment space
• “Rookie Salesperson of the Year,” to AV Homes Salesperson Eric Borge
• “Salesperson of the Year with a Company Closing Less Than 250 Homes per Year,” to AV Homes Salesperson Luigi Ravacchioli
• “Grand Award,” for its entries across all categories
In addition to team awards, members of AV Homes were also singled out for their sales excellence in areas under $2 million, $2-$5 million, $5-$8 million, $8-$10 million and over $10 million in sales volume. With these awards, 12 AV Homes team members were recognized, showcasing outstanding sales talent and community management.
The MAME Awards were voted and judged by a panel of experts, showcasing the best of the business in Phoenix.
