Avid Collector, Andrew Hawley from Vintage Rock Posters, announces his search for original Jimi Hendrix 1969 Gunther Kieser "medusa head" concert posters. The Kieser Hendrix poster is probably one of the most iconic and enduring rock concert posters produced in the 1960s. According to Hawley, "German concert poster artist Gunther Kieser was one of the top designers in the 1960s. He created 33 x 47 inches and 24 x 33 inches in size tour blanks for a nine-city tour over 12 days in Germany in January 1969. The tour started in Hamburg and ended in Berlin. The word Experience is written in white lettering over the Hendrix image on the smaller poster, while the larger poster has Experience printed in black ink on the white tour blank section. Kieser placed his credit along the middle edge of the poster on the right side in small letters."

Hawley adds, "Many American GIs in Germany went to the Hendrix concerts, so it is likely a retired veteran still possesses a poster." For examples of psychedelic concert posters, please go to
