PORTLAND, Ore., Oct. 6, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The Aimsir Distilling Co., (pronounced aim-sure), a Portland-based maker of award-winning whiskey and gin, today announces the release of its newest spirit, Astrid Vodka. Inspired by the figures of Norse mythology, Astrid means "Divine Beauty." Astrid Vodka is a smooth and rich spirit, quadruple distilled and featuring French wheat. Astrid Vodka is available at the Emerald Room at Aimsir Distilling and at liquor stores in Oregon.

To celebrate the launch of Astrid Vodka, Aimsir has created a special cocktail menu featuring cocktails from the 1920s–a nod to the art deco design of the Emerald Room–made with vodka as their base spirit. Drinks include the Vesper (Astrid Vodka, Aitil Gin, Lillet Blanc), the Bee's Knees (Astrid Vodka, lemon juice, honey), the Suffragette (Astrid Vodka, dry vermouth, elderflower liqueur), and more. These cocktails will be available starting on October 06 and featured on their fall menu.
Founded in 2020 by Christine and Stephen Hopkins, Portland's Aimsir Distilling Co. is a tribute to their family's Irish heritage, a way to cultivate community, and a chance to bring people together.
