Dr. Best will join Atlanta physicians Drs. Mark Perloe, Desireé McCarthy-Keith, Anne Namnoum, and their most recent addition, Natalie Stentz. Dr. Best is currently accepting new patients at SGF's Atlanta-Northside location and will soon begin accepting new patients at SGF's Buckhead-Piedmont location.

Monica Best earned her undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Michigan where she graduated with honors and with multiple academic awards to her credit. She is a native of St. Louis and returned to Missouri for medical school where she was awarded a full academic scholarship to attend the University of Missouri School of Medicine.

Dr. Best completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Chicago School of Medicine. During residency, Dr. Best realized her love of teaching residents and medical students. She was elected and served as the Chief Academic Resident of her residency class. Dr. Best completed her fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia.

Dr. Best was awarded the prestigious Fulbright Scholarship where she researched and later published work on the novel rapid non-genomic actions of sex steroids at the University of Pisa in Pisa, Italy. She has published in peer reviewed journals, authored book chapters, and presented her research nationally. She is a member of numerous medical societies to include the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the American Society for Reproductive Medicine.
