REDMOND, Ore., Dec. 10, 2021 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- In T.M. Palecki's newly released novel, "The Night Child," she shares her love for the 'old world' particularly the medieval ages, by penning a compelling story of a young girl with mystical powers as she embarks on a journey of self-discovery. Palecki's book shares the meaning behind when youthful friendship, compassion, strength and extenuating circumstances come together.
Throughout the book, readers will follow Esta, a daughter of the local midwife and healer, as she takes in an owlet that seals her identity as the unique girl who seems to understand others' thoughts and feelings who can also tame the wild. As rumors unfold that Esta is involved with witchcraft and magic, she determines her own fate and follows her life path, deriving power from compassion and insight.
"The main character, Esta, experiences a great loss," said Palecki. "As many people will, she begins to avoid anything and everything that could cause her pain. But the wisdom of a friend will break the spell and begin to bring her back to life."
The book will leave readers wanting more as they learn about Esta's fate as her secrets unravel outside her village. The book illustrates a true coming of age story that will show readers to embrace what makes them who they are. Palecki peppers her love for this era and her extensive travel by taking the audience back to a time period filled with beautiful castles and wild and wondrous islands.
"Highly engaging, action-packed teen read" is how Heather Anderson (Oregon Teacher of the Year 2016, National Board-Certified Teacher) describes "The Night Child" by T.M. Palecki.
"The Night Child" provides readers with three lessons; self-acceptance, how to overcome a significant loss and how to believe in themselves. Through Esta's journey, readers will see how important it is to live their lives to the fullest and embrace every aspect that defines who they are. This story is a riveting fictional tale about a historical fantasy that comes to life.
