NEW YORK, June 18, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- This week, Liv Foods, Inc., maker of LivBar, will travel from Oregon to New York City for the Summer Fancy Food Show, which runs from June 23rd to June 25th. The show is the largest trade-only marketplace for specialty food and beverages in North America, featuring more than 200,000 food and beverage products offered by 2,400 exhibitors from 50 countries & regions. LivBar will be highlighted at booth 5577.
Exhibitors are limited to Specialty Food Association members – companies who have met a series of strict requirements and who have gone through vetting by all other current members. Specialty food are: "foods and beverages that exemplify high levels and a core focus on quality, innovation and style in their category. Their specialty nature derives from…originality, authenticity, ethnic or cultural origin, specific processing, ingredients, limited supply, distinctive use, extraordinary packaging."
This was a natural fit for LivBar as one of the industry's only USDA certified organic energy bars that incorporate plant-based, low-allergen superfood ingredients, in a handmade baked bar that is both crunchy and chewy. The bars are gluten free, GMO free, nut free, corn free, dairy free, and soy free. All of the flavors are vegetarian with two vegan options.
CEO Wade Brooks said, "After recently signing distribution with KeHE and DPI Specialty Foods and winning the Mindful Awards, the Fancy Food show presents a great opportunity to further expose LivBars to larger national stores and influencers – allowing even more people the opportunity for real food snacks."
Founder Jan Johansen adds, "Once people try the bar, they know it's something special – it tastes real AND delicious, and because the bars are baked and made by hand, the texture is better than anything co-packed in a factory that pumps out millions of uncooked, low quality bars."
LivBar is one of two Salem, Oregon, companies attending the show and one of less than twenty coming from Oregon. Brooks says, "We're excited to represent the Pacific Northwest and our eco-conscious mindset. We're one of the only exhibitors with a compostable wrapper and it's a great chance to educate the market."
LivBars are currently available online at Amazon Prime, Amazon Subscribe and Save, direct from the LivBar website (https://livbar.com/), and in hundreds of stores, including, Erewhon, New Seasons Markets, Zupan's, Garden Bar, and Roth's Fresh Markets.
LivBar is distributed nationally through KeHE and DPI Specialty Foods.
