BOSTON, July 2, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- AxioMed announced the addition of experienced disc replacement professional Miok Hur. She has 20 years' experience covering Asian medical markets and will lead the Asian market for AxioMed as Director of Asia, reporting to Chief Business Officer Ken Yamada.
"Asian artificial disc replacement (ADR) is growing continuously," attested Hur. "Medtronic and Zimmer Biomet are doing cervical ADR clinical trials in Japan," she explained.
Hur joins AxioMed from Zimmer Biomet, where she managed cervical ADR projects with Japanese KOL surgeons, and served as Asia Sales Director and Senior Manager of Asia Surgeon Public Relations from 2009. Prior to joining LDR (now Zimmer Biomet) Hur led business development for GS medical as Vice President, as well as navigated business for Stryker as Marketing Manager.
Hur has successfully led fast-growing ADR business in Asia for 10 years. Several innovative products were introduced to the market under her leadership, and as a result she continually achieved a 20% compound annual growth rate, well above market growth rates.
As for longer term goals, Hur elaborated, "The AxioMed Freedom Disc will replace current ADR procedures and AxioMed will be a market leader in Asia in three years."
