The announcement was made at the 29th U.S.-Japan Technology Forum at the Vanderbilt University’s U.S.-Japan Center, which is led by Dr. James E. Auer of the James E. Auer US-Japan Center, and Mr. Hidehiro Konno, Mitsubishi Corporation. Both Nawa-san and Martinez-san were distinguished speakers outlining the cybersecurity risk landscape and inter-country approaches to mitigate risk. Both are recognized globally, as experts in cyber counter-intelligence and intercountry rapid application of threat information between Japan and U.S. Department of Homeland Security computer emergency response teams (JP CERT and DHS), as well via other agreements between multiple U.S. and Japanese allied countries. Supporting these international initiatives were Lauri Korts-Pärn, CTO of CDI and Mr. Andrew Schroth, Director of Business Intelligence for Axon.
