SEDONA, Ariz. (PRWEB) June 11, 2019 -- Shamangelic Healing founder, Anahata Ananda, has been providing Shamanic healing services around the world for over two decades. She is currently based in Sedona, Arizona and guides her clients on journeys of self-discovery, empowerment and awakening. Through her Shamangelic Healing Podcast, Anahata brings to light topics typically reserved for intimate conversations among trusted friends. The live, in-person interviews with her guests provides the listener, and viewer alike, a rare opportunity to feel the depth of the authentic conversations. One of Anahata’s most listened to episodes is, Ayahuasca: Medicine or Poison as the popularity of ceremonies involving this ancient vine has increased over the past few years. “Ayahuasca is meant as a purging substance on a physical and emotional level,” explains Anahata. “The experience is meant to leave you more whole,” adds podcast guest Cornett.
Nutritionist Ryin Cornett and Anahata open with the five invaluable questions one needs to have solid answers for when deciding whether to participate in an Ayahuasca ceremony. The first, is to assess if this plant medicine is calling to you, personally, or if it is something friends or family members are suggesting. “It’s like a badge of honor right now in the spiritual community,” states Cornett. Anahata deters considering this type of ceremony if it is due only to peer pressure. She emphasizes the importance of having a clear sense self-confidence and strong ability to say no if the idea of ingesting the plant, and the resulting altering effects, do not resonate with the person. She teaches alternative methods to achieve similar states through her Shamangelic Breathwork Ceremonies which uses Shamanic breathing techniques and not plant medicine.
The second consideration is whether the timing feels right to participate in this type of very powerful plant ceremony. She acknowledges a person may have been hearing about the popularity of Ayahuasca ceremonies from friends who have gone through them, or had a sparked curiosity from the news, podcasts or social media depicting experiences others have had. If there was a clear “yes” answer to the first question, she invites people to truly feel into the timing of this type of ceremony in a person’s life. “There’s probably going to be lots of opportunities, and you have to sit with “is it now?” So that’s the second question,” shares Anahata.
The third question Anahata and Cornett look at revolves around who the facilitator is. “All are not created equal!” Anahata stresses. “Some are Shamans and Ayahuasqueros, and some are drug dealers with a rattle,” she drives home. She goes on to adamantly point out the essential foundation for a safe experience is the impeccability and integrity of an Ayahuasca Ceremony facilitator. “You’re literally going to be leaving your body and opening your psychic field for somebody else to protect and guide you through that journey,” she points out. “You want somebody you can trust.” She discusses the work she does with clients affected by the aftermath of a ceremony that wasn’t performed in integrity. Anahata provides Shamangelic Healing Journeys to assist those seeking a safe space to address deep core emotional wounds. If done before considering attending an Ayahuasca Ceremony, this type of inner clearing of unresolved past traumas assists in a different outcome from the experience.
The fourth and fifth items Anahata questions have to do with where the ceremony is to be held and the people the experience will be with. “Is it safe? Is it a clear, anchored space? Is there an altar?” Anahata asks. “On a mountaintop or a cliff edge is probably not the best place to experience Ayahuasca,” shares Cornett. Anahata points out the importance of knowing the facilitator’s ability to handle whatever may come up during a person's journey, with an emphasis on keeping the entire group safe. Being discerning about the surrounding participants is as important as being selective about the facilitator. “Who are these other people I’m going to be having this experience with?” questions Anahata. She explains that the tendency to take on another’s experience, is a very real factor. The amount of trust one has in the environment, as well as in the people participating in the ceremony at that time, affects each participant positively or negatively.
