However, rural providers will need to compete with larger and wealthier hospitals, whose recruiters will poach staff with lucrative offers. To ease the strain on the remaining staff and stem the tide of burnout, hospitals will need to simplify their digital workflows. 2021 is on track to be the worst year ever for ransomware attacks on healthcare. 2022 will likely be worse.
