The app is invaluable for communicating with OB patients, even more critical at this juncture in the COVID-19 pandemic. The ease that it provides for connecting with patients and augmenting digital practice is of vital importance, especially in these times.

Babyscripts, the leading virtual care platform for managing obstetrics, has announced the release of Babyscripts myJourney, the next-generation version of its virtual care program for pregnancy that allows healthcare providers to seamlessly deliver a new model of prenatal and postpartum care. The new version delivers an upgraded modern interface for providers and patients, as well as expanded educational content to support mothers up to a year postpartum, while continuing to enable remote monitoring experiences for weight and blood pressure that allow providers to transition care seamlessly outside the clinic.

With the release of Babyscripts myJourney, the mobile app has enhanced its robust educational experience with the addition of new research-based content, which continues to be available to mothers in both English and Spanish. The latest version of the app enriches patient engagement and support through daily inspirations, tips, and reminders; while continuing to provide access to gestational age appropriate content, email campaigns, satisfaction surveys, and weight monitoring.

Current Babyscripts clients have used this custom campaign functionality with great success to disseminate information around COVID-19, with patient engagement rates nearing 100% for content from everything to practice policy changes and medical advice to local information like library and food bank closures that affect life outside of healthcare.

“The app is invaluable for communicating with OB patients, even more critical at this juncture in the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Dr. Mark Rosing, Chair of Obstetrics & Gynecology at SBH Health System in the Bronx. “Onboarding is simple, the user interface is welcoming and self-explanatory, and the ease that it provides for connecting with patients and augmenting digital practice is of vital importance, especially in these times.”

The Babyscripts experience is newly available to mothers up to a year postpartum, with 52 weeks of postpartum content now accessible through the app. This postpartum content is designed to help mothers take care of their new babies, monitoring for important milestones and navigating topics like infant sleep and nutrition, as well as helping mothers take care of themselves — a topic that is often overlooked by current standards of care.

The enhanced Babyscripts experience is delivered to the patient through an upgraded interface that is streamlined, modern, and easy to navigate; as well as completely customizable by the provider with their preferred colors, logo and content to help personalize the experience for each mother. The product will also be available for white-labelling.

“Delivering better care to the patient is at the heart of everything we do, whether that’s as simple as changing a font for a better reading experience or as high-level as adding new features,” said Juan Pablo Segura, President and co-founder of Babyscripts. “Patient and provider feedback has driven our innovation from day one, and we are confident that it’s helped us make Babyscripts myJourney the best product on the market for delivering better pregnancies.”

All current Babyscripts clients will migrate to Babyscripts myJourney over the course of the next six months.

Through the mobile app and remote monitoring experiences, Babyscripts myJourney enables earlier risk detection and intervention, driving improved outcomes and increasing patient engagement and satisfaction. With Babyscripts myJourney’s seamless integration, providers can automate certain aspects of care to streamline workflow, improve patient outcomes, and increase practice reimbursement.
