Base Camp Bar and Grill Co-hosts Snow Powder-Mustache Selfie Contest
Snowmass Village, CO (PRWEB) January 31, 2014 -- Base Camp Bar and Grill is thrilled to announce the launch of a new Instagram contest showcasing the glowing, happy and snowy faces of Snowmass, Colorado skiers and snowboarders. Together with High Society Freeride and Aspen Brewing Co., the #SnowmassPowderStache Instagram contest will run through the close of ski season on April 20, 2014. Open to anyone with a face full of snow, small prizes will be awarded intermittently (usually following a powder dump), with the grand-prize awarded on April 20.
“One of the things we really want to stress is that it’s not just for men with mustaches. Your pets, your kids, your significant others, yourself — anybody can participate” said Scott Calliham, co-founder of Base Camp. He added “We’ve had some great kid shots already and a couple of good dog ones and one good cat one!”
Submissions are welcome from all over the Roaring Fork Valley, from Sunlight Mountain to Aspen Mountain, though Calliham said if the contest’s organizers receive good photos from other resorts, they too will be considered.
Weekly prize winners will receive free beer, drinks or après from either Base Camp Bar and Grill or Aspen Brewing Company, and will be entered into the grand-prize drawing. The grand-prize winner will be announced on 4/20/14 and will receive two full-day lift tickets from Base Camp as well as High Society Freeride apparel and an Aspen Brewing Company prize yet to be determined.
To win, submit your “most compelling frozen, happy face” along with the hashtag #SnowmassPowderStache on Instagram, according to Kevin Roberts of The Myers Roberts Collective marketing company who will be acting as the third-party judge for all entries. Kevin reminds us, "No mustache necessary! Anyone can participate...women, kids, men, pets - anyone!"
Winners will be announced on the Instagram and Facebook pages of Base Camp Snowmass.
