Basin Street’s C.A.R.E.S. Initiative was launched to facilitate protocols for the health and wellbeing of its tenants and employees. The initiative focuses on five areas: Clean Hands, Air Systems, Restroom Etiquette, Elevator Protocol, and Safe Distance. The program includes hand sanitizer stations, enhanced cleaning protocols, HVAC maintenance and management with a focus on increased ventilation and mechanical systems inspection and monitoring, encouraging stair access and use, where appropriate, and also social distancing in common areas and shared spaces.
Turning expertise into activity that reboots tenant spaces

Basin Street’s comprehensive checklist spans 10 categories, from HVAC and Plumbing to Fire/Life Safety, Electrical Systems, General Inspections, the Tenant Space, and PPE use and Indoor Air Quality are monitored as well as regional air quality indices, with additional outside air utilized when appropriate for the local conditions and tenant health.
