Dr. Ron Murphy joins the Boys & Girls Clubs of America in the fight against illiteracy.
BATAVIA. Ill., April 5, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The mission of Boys and Girls Clubs has always been "To enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens." Dr. Murphy added, "I share this mission with the Boys and Girls Clubs. I know how hard they work. That is why I provide books they can give to the teens."
Further, their vision is to "Provide a world-class Club Experience that assures success is within reach of every young person who enters our doors, with all members on track to graduate from high school with a plan for the future, demonstrating good character and citizenship, and living a healthy lifestyle." Quality books and reading materials help make it a reality.
Dr. Murphy has supported youth programs for the last decade, providing over 14,000 books to the US Marines Toys for Tots, Boys & Girls Clubs of America, local libraries, and schools.
He said, "reading is an essential skill. When a child or teen discovers reading can be fun, not a chore, you rekindle their desire to learn. I have seen it over and over. This is the building block to learning other life skills and achieving their dreams. I will never stop encouraging reading by providing quality reading materials and books to those who do not have access."
Dr. Murphy has stepped up in a community action group, working with leaders across the US to impact youth organizations. They have sponsored over 1,000,000 books to youth literacy programs as a team. The cooperative action of like-minded people makes a difference in giving our youth a brighter future.
