LEWISVILLE, Texas, March 28, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- AppleGate Recovery, a division of BayMark Health Services, announced the opening of two new opioid addiction treatment programs in the Cleveland, Ohio area. AppleGate Elyria and AppleGate Willoughby will offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT) with buprenorphine or Suboxone® and in-house counseling. With these opening, AppleGate now operates 12 clinics in 5 states, including 3 locations in Ohio. Additional sites are planned for opening by the end of the year.
The impact of the opioid epidemic in Ohio has been significant. There were 4,854 unintentional overdose deaths reported in 2017 across the state. The increased use of illicit fentanyl, carfentanil and heroin, combined with the misuse of other opioids, are continuing to drive the significant numbers in need of opioid use disorder treatment.
