BBB® Announces Accredited Business Milestone
Fort Worth, Texas (PRWEB) September 17, 2015 -- Better Business Bureau® (BBB®) of Fort Worth and Tarrant County, Inc. is celebrating an organizational milestone with more than 5,000 Accredited Businesses. Year to date an additional 678 businesses have earned the honor to call themselves BBB® Accredited.
Recent Princeton Research Findings show that 7 out of 10 of consumers say they will be more likely to buy from a company designated as a “BBB® Accredited Business.” In 2014, more than 1.1 million Business Review web inquiries were conducted at http://www.fwbbb.org by potential consumers looking for Accredited Businesses within the BBB® of Fort Worth and Tarrant County, Inc. service area.
Better Business Bureau® of Fort Worth and Tarrant County, Inc. is a not-for-profit agency serving 8 North Texas counties including: Tarrant, Johnson, Hood, Wise, Erath, Palo Pinto, Somervell, and Parker with the mission to be the leader in advancing marketplace trust. BBB® requires all Accredited Businesses to embody the Standards of Trust. These standards offer a comprehensive set of policies, procedures and best practices focused on how businesses should treat the public.
BBB® Accreditation is an honor. Not every company is eligible to become BBB® Accredited. Potential BBB® Accredited Businesses are invited to apply for Accreditation, and BBB® thoroughly reviews and researches all applicants to ensure that they meet BBB® Accreditation Standards. Businesses that qualify are then presented to BBB®’s Board of Directors for final approval. Accredited Businesses are monitored throughout the year, and upon renewal, reviewed by BBB® to ensure that they have maintained BBB® Accreditation Standards. It is through this rigorous process that BBB® Accredited Businesses are eligible to be part of an elite group of one of the largest membership organizations in the State of Texas.
