On Certified Nurses Day, the Board of Certification for Emergency Nursing (BCEN) recognizes the contributions of certified emergency nurses and the value of board certification for nurses, and announces the availability of a free nurse recognition kit and new full-length practice exams.

Value of Certified Emergency Nurses
Research, including BCEN's 2017 large-scale Value of CEN Certification Research Study, shows that board certification of nurses both helps ensure high standards of care for patients and plays a significant role in the career success and satisfaction of nurses. "In our large-scale study, 92% of nurse supervisors said it is important to have certified emergency nurses in their organization, and 93% said it is important for emergency nurses to maintain their certification," added Schumaker.
