All X2 extreme models are certified by all major classification societies. They are designed to perform in rugged environments and in hazardous areas where gases, vapors and dust are present. Extended environmental capabilities include operating temperatures from -30°C to +70°C, high vibrations and high-pressure wash-downs.
X2 extreme models with integrated IEC 61131-3 soft PLC functionality models are available in 7, 12 and 15 with high-performance CPUs and high-bright displays.
Soft PLC for any environment
The X2 extreme models with soft PLC functionality holds all the certificates needed to perform in the field through UL, CE, FCC and KCC certifications and extended marine certifications from UL/cUL, DNV, GL, LR, ABS, KR, mutual recognition. X2 extreme panels provide UL Class I Div 2, ATEX Zone 2 and 22, IECEx Ex nA IIC Gc, IEC 60079-0, IEC 60079-15 certifications for safe operation in hazardous and dusty locations.
Certified
Fully sealed versions with M12 connectors hold IP66, NEMA 4X/12 and UL Type 4X/12 ingress protection rating for the entire product and conform to UL, cUL, ATEX and IECEx Zone 2 and 22 certifications.
Integrated CODESYS control
X2 extreme panels offer integrated IEC 61131-3 PLC functionality for lean automation solutions. The integrated IEC 61131-3 soft PLC control functionality runs on one or more dedicated CPU cores for safe and fast program execution. The IEC 61131-3 PLC functionality includes licensed software from CODESYS.
Applications that require a small footprint and less power consumption can benefit from integrating IEC 61131-3 PLC software with an HMI in a two-for-one configuration.
Remote IO
Combining a Beijer Electronics HMI with its soft IEC 61131-3 PLC functionality can also be integrated with its broad line of remote IO modules – network adaptors coupled with its analog or digital input and output module slices.
Smart integrated solutions
X2 extreme panels are used with the standard version of iX Developer software and as well as it WARP Engineering Studio. iX combines top-class graphics and smart functions that provide intuitive operation and almost limitless connectivity. WARP Engineering Studio is used to create integrated automation solutions by configurating the HMI, soft PLC and remote IO functionality via a common, easy-to-use interface.
Custom design or non-branded
All X2 panels offer custom designed or non-branded front foils as alternatives to the standard Beijer Electronics branded versions.
