Tanice Hunter Recognized for Outstanding Front-Line Care & Commitment to Residents
THORNWOOD, N.Y., Sept. 18, 2026 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Benchmark at Mount Pleasant Lead Aide Tanice Hunter of White Plains has been named a recipient of the Empire State Association of Assisted Living's (ESAAL) All-Stars Award in the Direct Care/Front Line Non-Manager category.
Hunter was one of only seven award recipients in her category recognized by ESAAL, which honors assisted living professionals across the state who demonstrate exceptional dedication to residents, families and their communities. She was honored for the compassion, reliability and personal connection she brings to her role each day at Benchmark at Mount Pleasant.
Hunter has been part of the Benchmark at Mount Pleasant team since the Assisted Living and Mind & Memory Care community opened in December 2025, helping to establish the warm, supportive environment that residents and families experience today. As a lead aide, she works closely with residents to provide personalized support while helping them maintain independence, dignity and quality of life.
Her commitment goes beyond assisting with daily needs. She takes the time to get to know residents as individuals, build trusting relationships and help create an environment where they feel comfortable, valued and connected.
"Tanice represents what exceptional senior living care is all about," said Sara Humphreys, executive director of Benchmark at Mount Pleasant. "She leads with compassion and treats every resident with the respect and attention she would want for someone in her own family. Her dedication makes a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents and their families, and we are incredibly proud to see her recognized by ESAAL."
