Bennett Motor Express Adds New Super Heavy Haul Agent on West Coast, Contractors Cargo Company

MCDONOUGH, Ga., Sept. 9, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Bennett Motor Express, LLC (Bennett) is pleased to announce the addition of a new agent, Contractors Cargo Company (CCC), a Los Angeles, California-based family-owned and operated company specializing in super heavy haul transportation.

With the addition of CCC as an agent, Bennett will be able to offer new super heavy haul capabilities in its Heavy Haul division. In North America, CCC is able to move freight from 100,000 pounds to more than 1 million. The logistics to handle a freight load of this magnitude is a crucial component in the process of transporting cargo through sea ports and cities.

Contractors Cargo Company formed in 1933, in Los Angeles, California. In 1962, current Chairman, Jerry Wheeler purchased the business and it remains family-owned; Wheeler's son, Gerald, President, his sister, Kim and daughter Erica are actively involved in the business. The company also has an additional office location in Houston, Texas. Over the years, Contractors Cargo Company has handled several historical super heavy haul projects, including the United States Space Shuttle Challenger in 1982 and the London Bridge in 2015.
