“Teaming up with Uber Health is just the latest example of Benzer’s commitment to the customer,” - Alpesh Patel, President of Benzer Pharmacy.

Benzer Pharmacy is proud to announce that it has struck a deal with Uber Health to begin providing patients with safe, affordable, and efficient transportation options for picking-up prescriptions and/or meeting their local pharmacist for in-person consultations at participating locations throughout its system.
According to Meghann Chilcott, Chief Technology and Marketing Officer for Benzer Pharmacy, the move is intended to assist those who formerly may have had trouble making travel arrangements with a reliable way to get in, and out, and on with life.
“One look at the big picture tells us that millions of Americans miss their healthcare appointments because of a lack of reliable transportation—3.6 million to be exact—as reported in a study conducted by JAMA Internal Medicine,” Chilcott said. “By partnering with Uber Health, we can ensure that if patients can’t come to us, we can bring them to the pharmacy as a means to provide an even higher level of customer service.”
That Benzer Pharmacy would decide to join with Uber Health in this regard is no surprise, particularly given the organization’s history of offering home delivery of prescribed medications.
“Teaming up with Uber Health is just the latest example of Benzer’s commitment to the customer,” said Alpesh Patel, President of Benzer Pharmacy. “Years ago, we developed a proprietary platform for free home delivery. This agreement underscores what we’ve always done in terms of eliminating one of the most troubling risk factors for non-adherence.”
“Perhaps more importantly,” Chilcott continued, “Patients themselves don’t even need to have the Uber app, or even a smartphone, to take advantage of this new service from Benzer. Once we have a customer in the system, we can book his or her ride from any address at a specific time and date. A phone call or text message is sent just prior to pick-up to keep both parties on the same page.”
From Patel’s perspective, it’s just another example of the company’s emerging leadership in the industry coming to the forefront.
“Our goal is to keep patients focused on solving what they need to do to get better, rather than, being distracted by any problems they might have in getting here,” Patel reasoned. “With Uber Health in our corner, we’re writing our own prescription for better service.”
“Now available for pick-up or delivery,” Chilcott concluded.
