Best Western Kelowna Hotel Pairs with New Restaurant and Pub

The Italian Table and Fleetwood Public House officially opened November 14. Owners Jason and Michelle Troll, the couple who also brought The Twisted Tomato to Kelowna, said they wanted to bring their ‘nonna’ (grandma) approved menu to this side of the city.
“That was really missing—a restaurant that offers really well-made, homemade pasta and fresh, local ingredients,” says Jason, adding The Italian Table is getting a lot of traffic from loyal Twisted Tomato diners. “We really wanted it to be accessible to families, sports teams and people from the hotel who want a great dining experience at a good price.”
The Italian Table offers Kelowna hotel diners the chance to order classic favourites like spaghetti Bolognese for the whole table or tuck into an individual wild mushroom and mascarapone pizza. And the wine list? Both much-loved Okanagan and Italian vintages are available by the glass or bottle.
Next door, at Fleetwood Public House, Jason says they wanted to give guests a pub that was comfortable and served good beer, but was also “the complete opposite” of a loud, ruckus university crowd kind of place. Rock ‘n’ roll is the theme. With menus made from recycled album covers and live music every weekend as well as streaming Live Nation concerts, music-lovers get the best of both worlds at Fleetwood: music and mouth-watering food in a gastown atmosphere.
With a menu crafted by Jason Leizert (of charcuterie and cheese shop Salted Brick) and drinks designed by mixologist Gerry Jobe, guests can enjoy already talked-about favourites such as a sirloin steak and ale pie served in a cast iron pan or roasted brisket sandwich alongside Fleetwood’s own Caesar Romero cocktail.
“Fleetwood has an outstanding culinary program for a pub. We felt, if we’re going to do a cheeseburger, let’s make it the best cheeseburger ever,” says Jason. The Wicked Deadly Cheeseburger includes Brie, Gruyere, mozzarella, and cheddar.
