BIA, a leading national eDiscovery and digital forensic services provider, today announced the addition of Colleen Freeman, Esq. to its sales team. Freeman will work as BIA’s senior director of national accounts.
Freeman joins BIA with more than 15 years of experience in discovery consulting and litigation technology sales. She brings a deep understanding of legal and regulatory frameworks and has advised clients in high-risk matters throughout her career. Freeman regularly consults with Am Law 100 firms and Global Fortune 50 companies on internal investigations, complex litigation and enforcement actions. Having worked for three of the largest global eDiscovery providers in the industry, she has become a recognized expert in the field. Prior to joining BIA, Freeman worked as the head of U.S. sales for LDM Global, where she was responsible for driving revenue and profit growth in the highly competitive American market. She also formed the strategic and long-term business plan for the U.S. market, led the implementation of new sales models and marketing campaigns and built the company’s first U.S. sales force, among other responsibilities.
Previously, she was the East Region director of the technology and discovery consulting practice at FTI Consulting. Freeman has also served as the director of business development, managed review and eDiscovery services at Consilio (formerly DiscoverReady) and the director of global legal solutions at Epiq. She is known for developing defensible protocols to handle electronically stored information (ESI) and document review for complex and large-scale litigation matters. As an accomplished legal consultant, Freeman and her team were chosen by the Plaintiffs’ Steering Committee to support the discovery work in the sweeping Blue Cross Blue Shield Antitrust Litigation. Freeman currently serves as the President of the Association of Certified E-Discovery Specialists (ACEDS) New England Executive Board and is a member of the Boston Bar Association’s JD Advisory Committee.
