Scientel Recognized Among “10 More Big Data Companies You Might Not Know” By Information Management Online Magazine
Bingham Farms, MI (PRWEB) May 29, 2014 -- As a result of its ongoing development of NoSQL DB technology--e.g, Gensonix® DB—and associated Big Data R&D efforts, Scientel Information Technology, Inc., has been recognized by the prestigious IT industry publication, “Information Management”.
This magazine released an initial article titled, “10 Big Data Companies You Might Not Know”. The article highlighted 10 vendors “making a name in the Big Data space and helping businesses get more value from their unstructured and voluminous data sets”. Included was, for example, YarcData, a subsidiary of Cray, a global leader in supercomputing. Per Yarc’s website, “YarcData has packaged the power of real-time data discovery into an enterprise-ready, Big Data analytics appliance.”
Similarly, Scientel was recognized in a followup article titled, “10 More Big Data Companies You Might Not Know”. This highlighted 10 more vendors “establishing themselves as contenders in the Big Data and Analytics market”. Scientel’s Gensonix NoSQL DBMS is the solution for processing Big Data that can be applied in commercial or other environments with processing capabilities that can scale to levels similar to systems developed by many of the Internet giants.
One of the major advantages of NoSQL DB s is the ability to be schemaless, and therefore most NoSQL DBs are deployed in a schemaless environment. However, NoSQLs are generally not adopted in transaction environments due to the lack of ACID compliance. NoSQLs are chosen when “beyond SQL” scalability and “no schema” support are required; whereas, SQLs are chosen when transaction support with ACID compliance is required. When both requirements are present, the deployment of two different types of DBs—SQL and NoSQL—in our data centers is unfortunately implemented, along with the associated impacts on TCO in terms of additional storage, personnel, administration/documentation tasks, etc.
In order to solve such total system problems, companies may need to deploy NoSQL DBs for unstructured data and an SQL DB for structured data. However, Gensonix stores structured/unstructured data utilizing multiple data models WITHIN THE SAME NoSQL DB, eliminating the need for multiple types of DBs (SQL + NoSQL) to handle both structured and unstructured data efficiently and cost-effectively. It is ideal for business, government, scientific, medical, etc., environments, as well as raw data analysis applications. Gensonix utilizes the NSQL™© language which is capable of very efficient processing of vast amounts of structured and unstructured data at ultrahigh speeds. Scientel is one such Big Data company that has incorporated SQL and NoSQL capabilities in a SINGLE DB.
Utilizing decades of experience and vast knowledge in various aspects of IT and advanced computing principles in generating current solutions for Big Data, an example of Scientel's advanced products for both mainstream and Big Data applications is its Enterprise Content Management & Search (ECMS) system. This system allows any size organization to cost-effectively and reliably store; organize in a central repository; manage; and search within, at many levels, virtually any kind of digitized content. ECMS supports simple “drag-n-drop” of text, PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access DB, image files, analytical files, compressed files, e-mail files, ISO files, wave files, reports, video clips, and all other types of digital content into the Gensonix ECMS content manager. It can be bundled with Scientel’s Content Management Appliance (CMA) which is easily scalable from small systems to Large Data Warehouse Appliance (LDWA) levels, and is unmatched in performance. Usage of Scientel’s Gensonix NoSQL DB with Scientel’s ECM Appliances drastically improves efficiency of Content Management in all levels of organizations.
Lastly, Scientel’s CMA system is the world’s only content management system appliance developed under a NoSQL DB.
About Scientel Information Technology, Inc.
Scientel Information Technology, Inc. is a U.S.-based, international, systems technology company, operational since 1977. Scientel also designs/produces highly optimized high end servers, which can be bundled with its "GENSONIX® ENTERPRISE" DBMS software, as a single-source supplier of complete systems for Big Data environments.
Scientel also customizes hardware and software for specific applications resulting in higher performance.
Scientel's specialty is advanced NoSQL DBMS design and applications/systems integration for advanced business processes. This includes applications for Big Data, commercial intranets, Supply Chain management, IT consulting, support, etc., along with “beyond mainframe-level” Large Data Warehouse Appliance hardware/systems.
GENSONIX® allows very user-friendly data manipulation capabilities found in standard, SQL-based, database management systems, but it goes beyond. It is truly an "ALL-in-One SQL" -- an “All Data Management System” in the form of an ultra-flexible, NoSQL DBMS of perfectly general capabilities and application potentials. It can also function in concert with mainline SQL systems to efficiently handle both structured and unstructured data as a large data warehouse repository. However, it can handle heavy database loads by itself with the aid of the GENSONIX® NSQL©™ query/procedural language. GENSONIX® supports both telnet as well as http interfaces. GENSONIX® is capable of handling trillions of rows/transactions for billions of customers, which is a huge advantage in “truly Big Data” structured applications.
Business customers can take advantage of Scientel’s capabilities in advanced Business Intelligence and Data Analytics to grow their business by handling Big Data more cost-effectively and with greater insights to remain competitive. Scientific, government, and similar organizations can use these capabilities to efficiently process Big Data, instead of being swamped by it. And, Scientel’s Enterprise Content Management & Search solutions can vastly simplify storage, access, and management of any kind of digitized data for any size organization.
