Partnership Provides Cloud Native Data Discovery, Data Catalog and Enforcement

BigID, the leading data discovery and intelligence platform for privacy, protection, and perspective; and SecuPi, a leader in data-centric security, privacy, and data governance, today announced a partnership that enables enterprises to automate discovery and remediation with dynamic data masking and threat mitigation across cloud platforms.

Privacy protection can no longer be addressed by policies and workflows alone - especially as data teams embrace new technologies. Enterprises need to be able to comply with a growing list of data rights (including deletion), ensure that they restrict sensitive data access based on preferences and consent, and be able to find and protect all critical and personal data across their data stores.

“Organizations are not only struggling with regulatory compliance across jurisdictions, but also with establishing trust with their customers and employees,” said Will Murphy, VP of Business Development and Alliance at BigID. “With BigID and SecuPi, enterprises can be confident in their ability to manage the data chaos through intelligent discovery of sensitive data and dynamic data masking.”

The partnership between BigID and Secupi enables enterprises to scale data privacy protection along with governance, automatically identifying and providing data intelligence around their most sensitive data - while orchestrating data protection based on deep data insight.

With BigID and SecuPi, organizations can benefit from a pre-packaged, cloud-native solution to automate data discovery, enforce policy for compliance, automatically fulfill key data privacy requirements at scale, and simplify governance.

Through this partnership, joint customers can:

  • Discover personal, sensitive, and dark data across the enterprise
  • Leverage encryption at rest and in motion, using encryption techniques & dynamic Data Masking
  • Mange privacy, security, and governance in one and centralized location, among the entire enterprise, policy-driven.
  • Hold Their Own Keys (‘HYOK’) on-prem/cloud.
  • Get fine-grained access control (Role & Attribute-Based Access Control)
  • Audit and Monitor any data request and leverage UBA
  • Delete personal, redundant, or duplicate data
  • Enforce opt-out preferences and remove identifying data from processing

“The partnership is a natural combination. Global privacy regulations are protecting consumers but also adding increased complexity to data governance.” said Wayne Like, Head of North America for SecuPi. “Together, Secupi and BigID enable companies to map sensitive data across data platforms and leverage those insights to simplify regulatory compliance such as RTBF, masking, and remediation.”
