Bill Poulos Recognizes Community Champions Creating Social Impact with the Profits Run Starfish Award

The Profits Run Starfish Award derived from the story of a man who saved starfish stranded on the beach by putting them back into the ocean. One of the man's friends saw him place the starfish in the ocean and asked what difference could he make when there were thousands of starfish stranded on the beach. The man continued on his way, placing starfish back into the ocean, one by one. He knew that for every starfish he threw back in the ocean he made a difference for that one starfish, even if he may not save them all. Those honored with the Profits Run Starfish award exemplify that spirit and understanding that even if they may not be able to help everyone, they are making a difference in the lives of the people they do help.
