Billy Johnson Insurance Agency and Goshen Valley Boys Ranch Continue Charity Drive to Fund Scholarship for Local Youth
Roswell, GA (PRWEB) June 12, 2015 -- Billy Johnson Insurance Agency, a locally owned full service insurance provider with offices in both Roswell and Woodstock, is working closely with the Goshen Valley Boys Ranch in an effort to provide a scholarship for a promising young resident with a bright future.
Goshen Valley Boys Camp is called home by 35 young men who are part of the Georgia foster care system. By offering a family-based model of care, Goshen provides these young men with full-time house parents who help create a caring and nurturing environment. Combined with programs that focus on hope and healing, the Goshen model helps these young men learn how to forge real and lasting relationships, dramatically improving their quality of life and their ability to lead positive lives.
Will, one resident of Goshen, was born into an especially dysfunctional family and has been juggled by the foster care system for much of his life. “I’ve known Will for a while now,” says Billy Johnson, owner of the Billy Johnson Insurance Agency. “No one deserves a chance at a better life more than Will, and we’re doing everything we can to make sure he gets it.”
Drawing on a large network of professional and personal contacts, Johnson is working directly with the Goshen Valley Boys Camp to gather donations that will be used to create a scholarship fund for Will. To this end, the Billy Johnson Agency is actively reaching out to local community members, associates, clients, and friends, and has even pushed through online and social media channels to gather support outside the local population.
Even more, the Billy Johnson Insurance Agency has committed to finding a new cause every 30-60 days over the coming months, and will utilize the network they’ve already built to continue gathering support for more worthwhile charities.
