Bioscience Americas Retains Financial Advisor
San Diego, California (PRWEB) October 17, 2015 -- Bioscience Americas, LLC, a leading international developer of for-profit adult stem cell wellness centers, announced today that it has retained Scottsdale, Arizona based Business Development Ventures, LLC (BDV) to assist in creating and implementing a global strategic plan for capital formation.
Bioscience Americas is the development partner of the Global Institute of Stem Cell Therapy and Research. Based in San Diego, the Global Institute is a worldwide consortium of stem cell scientists and biotechnology researchers. They have been the beneficiary of more than $400 million in stem cell research grants, endowment contributions, and legislative appropriations.
BDV’s expertise is centered on evaluating and executing capitalization strategies for growing firms. Headed by senior partner Steve Miller, the firm is known for its ability to source capital for opportunities in technology and related industries.
In announcing the association with BDV, Bioscience Americas CEO Eric Stoffers said that BDV is perfectly positioned to assist Bioscience in the implementation of its global growth initiative. “Steve Miller and his team at BDV have the international capital market expertise and a solid foundation in understanding the science that serves as the foundation of our future growth. As part of the new relationship, Bioscience Americas has created an Advisory Board to provide scientific and business consultation advice to Bioscience management. In addition to naming Steve Miller to the Board and as an Executive Vice President of Bioscience, Dr. Leslie Miller was also named a member of the Board. Dr. Miller is an internationally renowned cardiologist and expert in the field of heart failure and transplantation, and has served as an investigator in over one hundred clinical trials. He has refocused his research on the use of stem cells derived from bone marrow and fat tissue to treat heart disease. Dr. Miller previously served as the Director of the cardiac programs at Georgetown University School of Medicine, Washington Hospital Center as well as the University of Minnesota. He has received numerous teaching awards from both fellows and residents, including teacher of the year in internal medicine and the Proctor Harvey Chair. He was also formerly the Director of the University of South Florida (USF) Heart Institute, and Professor of cardiovascular sciences at the USF Health Morsani College of Medicine and is published in numerous clinical journals.
