LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (PRWEB) August 19, 2020
BKD CPAs & Advisors announced that Susan Davenport will succeed Ryan Underwood as the next Arkansas managing partner, effective January 1, 2021.
Davenport has provided solutions for BKD’s health system and hospital clients for more than 26 years and serves as the health care office industry leader for BKD’s Arkansas offices. Susan has served as the lead BKD executive for some of Arkansas’ largest health systems and has also been a passionate supporter of several charitable organizations in central Arkansas, including the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Arkansas in Little Rock, where she previously served as chair of the board and co-chaired the 2019 Chocolate Fantasy Ball. Susan has also served as the Arkansas chapter president and then regional executive for the Healthcare Financial Management Association.
“Susan’s demonstrated success in growing and managing BKD’s local health care practice and developing innovative solutions for those clients will translate well to the overall Arkansas practice. Ryan has been an outstanding leader, and Susan is passionate about building on the work he has started and collaborating with our entire Arkansas team to continue providing Unmatched Client Service® for our clients,” said Tom Watson, regional managing partner (RMP) for BKD’s South Region.
“Our office has been incredibly successful over the years due to our outstanding personnel and the leadership of our partners and managing directors. It has been an honor and a privilege to serve as MP, and I’m confident that Susan will bring a fresh perspective to this position that will lead us to an even brighter future,” said Underwood.
Underwood will continue his duties while assisting Davenport through the transition and will dedicate the balance of his career to serving clients full time as a leader within BKD National Financial Services Group.
“Ryan has led significant growth in our Arkansas practice during his tenure and I’m excited about the chance to lead the largest firm in Arkansas. I look forward to building on our historical successes and creating more rewarding career opportunities for BKD’s personnel, managing directors and partners,” said Davenport.
