Blockseed Launches Closed Beta Version of Platform for Startup Ecosystem with Research Support from Columbia University Teachers College
NEW YORK (PRWEB) January 10, 2019 -- Blockseed, a platform for the investor-startup ecosystem, launched its private beta. Feedback from the 50 startups and 20 investors participating will be processed in assistance with Blockseed’s research partner, Columbia University Teachers College, and will be used to further develop the platform for the public beta launch in February.
Blockseed aims to transform the funding ecosystem by offering startups feedback from investors and advisors as well as personalized, gamified learning modules to improve their projects. Blockseed aims to promote entrepreneurial education while providing tools to all stakeholders, startups, investors, accelerators, and agencies. The results of the reviews and information from other activities on the platform will be combined into a unique metric representing the project’s performance and growth value, similar to tests in a university. Several secondary metrics like investment performance, recruitment requirements, and sales qualification can then be derived. This machine learning refined metric will also aim to include financial, traction and team efficiency data provided by the startup. The curated information and completed learning module certifications provided saves both startups and investors countless hours of needless and inefficient outreach, which would normally have been spent vetting projects, not to mention limits inbox inundation.
The closed beta version of Blockseed’s platform will allow startups, investors, and advisors to connect via its secure interface. Columbia University Teachers College will support Blockseed in adding a layer to data-based research to create the most effective review form. Additionally, This form will be refined continuously to capture pertinent aspects to understand the best structure and leadership for a startup based on its stage. The research will be conducted under the oversight of Professor Bill Pasmore, who has been advising business leaders for nearly forty years and is actively involved in delivering services to clients as a coach to CEOs, designer of complex organizations, and trusted advisor in matters pertaining to leadership and change.
“We are excited to assist Blockseed in performing research to support the development of this novel platform,” said Professor Pasmore. “Of particular interest to us is the area of study called organization psychology; in other words, how changes in management style and organizational systems in the workplace can improve group productivity, individual motivation, and overall efficiency. This partnership will enable a myriad of opportunities for our college to explore this burgeoning field while at the same time supporting Blockseed with our insights.”
CEO and Founder of Blockseed Investments, Aniruddh Jain, received his Masters from Columbia University and values both data-based analytics generated by the platform and more research-based study, which led him to seek the partnership with the Teachers College during this exciting phase of the platform’s development.
Jain said, “In the current startup ecosystem, investors are overwhelmed with requests from projects while projects don’t receive the feedback they need to improve. We aim to address these issues by leveraging AI to automatically match investors to relevant startups and offer personalized learning modules to startups so that they can ultimately become more attractive to investors. It’s a win-win for both parties, inclusive, and reinforcing for everyone involved including accelerators, agencies, and even event hosts. ”
Blockseed’s platform is currently oversubscribed with 200 startups wishing to participate; these projects will be able to join the public beta release. For more information on Blockseed: https://www.blockseedinvestments.com/
