Bluewater Names Director of Business Development, Grows Sales Team

Bluewater, the converged creative advertising agency is pleased to announce the hiring of Dave Shimkus to the newly established position of Director of Business Development.

Shimkus has a long-standing history in the radio and television industry for over 30 years with over seven thousand hours of live on-air television hosting experience. He has extensive experience with companies, such as Home Shopping Network, QVC, The Military Shopping Channel, The Outdoor Shopper, and has appeared in over 50 commercials and infomercials. Originally a native of Chicago, he moved to Tampa Bay to become a full-time host on HSN where he had the privilege of hosting the Florida State Fair, three Superbowls and the John Glenn Space Launch.

“Dave has had an impressive career representing leading brands and launched many renowned brands via live shopping. As Bluewater growth rapidly continues, the newest addition to the sales team will greatly complement the company’s present sales goals. In 2006 Shimkus founded his own consulting company for television projects, retail television sales, infomercials, and product placement services. This added knowledge of the industry combined with his past experience created a well-rounded fit for the Bluewater sales team. They are confident that he can cultivate new business opportunities and continue to successfully expand their national presence in this competitive industry.
