Blushington launches Blushington Academy for Artist Advancement building a national community for freelance beauty entrepreneurs

This November, Blushington Makeup & Beauty Lounge launches the Blushington Academy for Artist Advancement. The Academy is designed for makeup artists, cosmetology and esthetics school graduates who are looking to accelerate and elevate their careers.

This November, Blushington Makeup & Beauty Lounge launches the Blushington Academy for Artist Advancement. The Academy is designed for makeup artists, cosmetology and esthetics school graduates who are looking to accelerate and elevate their careers. Having established itself as the premier training ground for working artists for the past 10 years, Blushington is uniquely positioned to close the gap between the classroom and beauty entrepreneurship, translating the invaluable skills that working makeup artists have already learned to the practical realities of building a lucrative freelance career.

This proprietary 25 hour, interactive and completely live, online course will provide participants with the artistic and practical knowledge on how to begin or elevate their freelance career. Class size is limited to 10, so participants will come away with substantive, personalized attention. All classes will be taught live by Blushington’s expert Educators.

Upon course completion, all graduates will retain the support of the Blushington platform, gaining national visibility on a geographically searchable database on Blushington.com. Additionally, each graduate will have their own curated “Shop in Shop” on the website (https://blushington.com/pages/find-makeup-artists) of their favorite products and will earn a competitive commission for all sales they drive through their shop (https://blushington.com/pages/keyerra-madeline). Whether it is at a makeup appointment or by driving people to their online store, every graduate will have the potential to increase their earnings on a recurring basis to supplement their artistry income.

The course will go beyond the Blushington Way of artistry, to include topics such as freelance business skills, cultivating lasting customer relationships, driving product sales and optimizing social media, all critical ingredients to building a thriving freelance career. The course will also teach Blushington’s best practices for how to deliver virtual makeup via an interactive, online platform, an innovation launched by Blushington in April 2020 providing a skillset that is critical in today’s Covid era.

In addition to the course, the $975 tuition includes a luxury Pro Kit valued at over $1200 retail and comprised of best in class products from Blushington partner brands including Revlon, Erborian, Jouer, Bdellium, BeautyRX, Bioderma, PYT, Anastasia Beverly Hills, Stila and other prestigious independent brands along with Blushington branded tools. The Pro Kit will be updated biannually and will serve as a conduit for up and coming brands to reach Pro Makeup Artists and a differentiated source of distribution.
