The prestigious CRN® Channel Chiefs list, released annually, recognizes leading IT channel vendor executives who continually demonstrate outstanding leadership, influence, innovation, and growth.

Buchanan joined RapidScale in 2017 as the executive vice president of sales. He has over 20 years of industry experience and expertise in channel and direct sales with a track record of building and scaling world-class, channel-focused sales organizations in the cloud space. Through his thought leadership, he develops national go-to-market and sales strategies to accelerate RapidScale’s market position as a provider of managed cloud services including, Desktop as a Service (DaaS), Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS), Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) solutions and more.

During the company's rapid expansion, he was instrumental in building the team, while expanding their channel sales and nationwide channel distribution capabilities. This is his third time being acknowledged on CRN’s prestigious annual list of Channel Chiefs.

The 2021 Channel Chiefs are prominent leaders who have influenced the IT channel with cutting-edge strategies, programs, and partnerships. All honorees are selected by CRN’s editorial staff based on their dedication, industry prestige, and exceptional accomplishments as channel advocates.
