Certified health coach Julia Yu came to the realization that a curious, compassionate mindset can help to break free from habits that can be harmful and to see life as a gift full of possibilities. She wanted to share what she learned about the habits and holistic approaches to physical and emotional well-being and this prompted her to write “Sweeter Without Sugar: How to Break Free from the Sugar Habit and Improve Your Quality of Life” (published by Balboa Press).

About the Author
Julia Yu is a certified health coach, life coach and mindfulness educator who strongly believes that one’s quality of life can improve by becoming aware of the impact food, and lifestyle choices have on the body and the mind. Prior to becoming an author and mindfulness educator, she was an associate director in the Office of Teacher Education at Teachers College, Columbia University for 13 years and enjoyed implementing self-care workshops for students, teachers and the community.
