According to Prabhash Karan, “Our seven basic human emotions — joy, anger, fear, surprise, contempt, sadness, and disgust — reflect many facets of our real-life experience. Through several million years of evolution and nature-human interaction, we carry these emotions with us, because they have helped us to survive as a species and to thrive as a result of it. They are essentially an integral part of what makes us human.” His book, “How to Win Nature and Enjoy Good Life: Baby Steps to Follow Mother Nature” (published by Xlibris) explores them and primarily deals with love, relationship, marriage, food and everyday family.
“How to Win Nature and Enjoy Good Life: Baby Steps to Follow Mother Nature” discusses innate human nature and its relationship with nature. In this book, as in his other works, Karan posits that what really leads to a long, healthy and happy life is a connection with the natural world and the natural order. The guide focuses on three key areas — love, attitude, and diet — in order to help increase wellness, emotional well-being and physical health. Each piece of advice is meant to be taken individually and mastered before tackling the next; creating a manageable roadmap of directions, that anyone can follow in order to rediscover their place in the natural world.
“The life of a modern man is moving at a frantic pace like never before. People now live in a society cultured with instant gratification, instant fame, fast food, fast cash, miracle cure, extreme need and I-want-it-all-and-I-want-it-now. People fail to comprehend how easy it is to cure all these maladies and still live a life of modernity,” Karan says. “The book provides baby steps with case studies to resolve the issues. The methods suggested in the book are very basic and very easy to follow.”
“How to Win Nature and Enjoy Good Life: Baby Steps to Follow Mother Nature” along with its four companion books, “Nature Is My Teacher,” “Of Human Nature and Good Habits,” “Life, Living and Lifestyle” and “Health and Medical Care” constitutes a series that tells the nature-human connection and its implication in daily life, in a related set of separate episodes.
