Books by eCampus Announces Winner in Free Pizza and Textbooks Giveaway to Promote Online Buybacks During Quarantine

Books by eCampus, an online bookstore solution by, promoted the giveaway to celebrate college students in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The grand prize of free pizza and textbooks for a year was awarded to Emily Sauer of Miami University in Oxford, OH. Sauer was randomly selected from thousands of participants who became eligible after selling at least one textbook back through their Online Bookstore from April 15, 2020 - June 1, 2020.

The giveaway was inspired by’s desire to help students enjoy the online textbook buyback process and introduce an added benefit to selling back books during an unpredictable college semester. Any student currently enrolled at a Books by eCampus partner institution was eligible to participate, resulting in thousands of entries from’s 250 partner schools. By selling at least one textbook online, students were automatically entered to win a $500 textbook scholarship and free pizza for a year.

Online textbook buybacks were a vital component to the Spring 2020 college semester as institutions were forced to close on-campus bookstores in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.
