On that day the Welch Family will say goodbye to their beloved truck stop of over 45 years when it will be sold at auction. The Boondocks USA Truck Stop has been a staple on Interstate 35 for the locals as well as anyone just passing through. Its legacy will forever live on with every reminiscing story from a visitor.
EXIT 144 on Interstate 35, The Boondocks truck stop will sell to the highest bidder regardless of price. It will consist of 16.41 acres+/-, truck stop, 30 unit hotel, restaurant, and all the equipment for full operation. Also included is the 30,000 gal propane tank, 50,000 gallons of above ground fuel storage as well as the wind turbine. All of the DNR clearance on the underground fuel tanks has been handled for the new buyer. This is an outstanding commercial site for a new venture.
