Boston College Lynch School of Education Launches Two Online Graduate Programs
Enrollment Open for Master of Education in Educational Leadership and Policy and Master of Education in Global Perspectives: Teaching, Curriculum, and Learning Environments
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass., Aug. 15, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Boston College's Lynch School of Education (LSOE) announced the launch of two, socially focused online graduate programs: the Master of Education in Educational Leadership and Policy (ELP), and the Master of Education in Global Perspectives: Teaching, Curriculum, and Learning Environments (GP:TCLE), taught by leading national and international scholars and delivered through an accessible online platform.
Online students will graduate with relevant lessons that allow them to develop reflective methods that integrate theory with practice to effect educational change. "LSOE's programs develop practitioners who approach learners from a holistic perspective," said Stanton E.F. Wortham, Dean of the Lynch School of Education. "Our students believe in the education of whole human beings and the potential of education to transform individuals and society. Both online programs have been developed with the same level of care that characterize all our efforts."
The online ELP program prepares leaders to effect positive change by shaping the learning culture and organizational structure and policy development of their schools, districts, educational networks, or nonprofit organizations.

Through discernment and critical reflection, graduates of this program will equip themselves with the skills to improve their own capabilities and to expand the capacities of their organizations. Additionally, this program offers two curated certificate options in Social Justice Leadership, and Educational Policy Development.

The curriculum is designed for individuals or teams of educators at any stage of their careers from anywhere in the world. Students will work throughout the program to address real-world teaching and learning challenges. By applying a global perspective, students will re-conceptualize what they teach, how they teach, and how teaching and learning can occur. Through this innovative program, graduates will also develop self-knowledge, meaning, and a sense of purpose as educators concerned about the wellbeing of the whole person.
