In order to diversify their spirits business, they are expanding their product line into the gin family. Their first gin product is the Bowling & Burch Gin. This gin was named to honor Steve Beam's ancestors, the Bowlings and the Burches, who emigrated from England to the Eastern United States in the mid-1600s. "This new world gin was born from the passion my ancestors and I have for gardening, as well as for creating high-quality spirits, of course," says Steve Beam, Head Distiller at Limestone Branch Distillery.
Graduating from Purdue University with a degree in Landscape Architecture and being the Chair of the Horticulture Committee of Miami Beach Botanical garden for a few years, Steve Beam didn't forget his family legacy of distilling. His passions for distilling and horticulture led to the creation of the Bowling & Burch Gin, a new world style gin created by mixing 17 botanicals, some of them grown at the distillery propriety.
Bowling & Burch Gin Tasting Notes
- Nose: Herbal with balanced notes of rosemary, thyme, and citrus.
- Palate: Bitter orange, honeysuckle, rosemary, lemongrass, lemon verbena, coriander notes.
- Finish: Zesty and spicy.
